So, heres where we stand because I know all 4 of you are waiting with baited breath:

The buyers attorney says: No new roof, no repaired siding: no deal.

The buyers are telling their agent: Pleasedont let anything happen. We NEED this house because ours is already sold and we cant get out of it.

So, where the fuck does that leave us? Well, since we havent bought a thing in NC yet, we havent spent any money or committed to anything yet. If next Friday comes and goes, we still own a house and they dont. Of course, unless JewelrySlut finds a job right quick-like, we cant afford to stay in our house. But, they dont need to know that.

So, do we play serious hardball? We could. We could just sit back, arms crossed, pouty faces on and just say Fuck you. What choice do they have? If theyre willing to go live in a hotel, they can go for it. But, with a truckload of stuff, a baby, and another one due in a few weeks, are they really willing to do that?

So, this morning, Im talking to our lawyer. I plan to have him ask what, exactly, they want. How much money is it going to take? Personally, I think they spent too much for the house and need to get the sale price down in order to be comfortable in it. If they come back with new roof, new siding and dont offer a dollar value, were sitting back and waiting.

Im not that mean off a person, but if they want to go to the closing and start crying, I dont give a fuck. They dicked us over for 2 weeks of attorney review (it should take 3 days). They had 3 weeks to get the house inspected and respond to it. They got back to us with all of 5 minutes to spare. Theyve made this whole process very difficult. They deserve a little pain. We still very much no longer want to live here in NJ. We want our new lives to start. But, were not going to give up money that we dont have to in order to get things started.

Well see what today holds.

Ohheres a little pain and suffering for you all to laugh at:

On occasion, when it rains like crazy, our garage will flood. It has to come down like at the rate of a few inches per hour.

Yesterday afternoon, apparently it did. We came home and the garage had flooded. Guess where all of our already-packed boxes are.
